Oooooh, it's a SCARY statue!

At Villanove - a Catholic university - there is a controversy over a statue in memory of victims of abortion.

What is portrayed in the statue? A bloody fetus? Body parts? Er...no.

As you can see from the picture above, the statue is of a mother and child. Which, evidently, some people consider to be a highly offensive sight.

Which reminds me...

When I first got back to the States, Johnson & Johnson was running some beautiful ads, my favorite of which was a doting mother giving her baby a bath in the sink. The voice-over said, "You always liked them tall, dark, and handsome. Who would have believed that the love of your life would be short and bald?" Then the words, "Having a baby changes everything" came up, along with the address of the J&J web site.

I thought, "Yikes! That's gotta have the abortion toadies up in arms! If they were spitting nails over the DeMoss ads, they're having apoplectic fits over this!"

Evidently they were, because the ads vanished. Does anybody have the scoop on that?
